It's not to late to still receive your "refund" for buying a home. The deadline is approaching. Your home must be "Closed" by November 30, 2009 to receive your refund. This is money that can be used anyway you want. You can use it toward your down payment (on certain loans), you can pay off your car or credit cards, buy a new tv, or tuck it away for a rainy day.
